OPERATION WALK LOS ANGELES ANNUAL GALA 2021

On December 11th, 2021 Operation Walk supporters, volunteers, friends, and family, gathered to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our chapter’s Team Leaders: Jeri Ward, R.N. and Mary Ellen Sieben, R.N. It was a chilly but beautiful winter night, with a view of the LA city lights and the aroma of Korean BBQ and tacos wafting through the air. Guests huddled by the patio heaters spread throughout the venue and danced to the beat of Jazz and R&B to keep warm.

We were grateful to be able to gather and reconnect with the Operation Walk family after a year of not being able to. Our star photographer and long-time volunteer, Raquel Landworth-Kleinhenz, captured each of our 150 guests arriving at the red carpet and OpWalk Step-And-Repeat. It was a sold out event!

We want to thank and congratulate Dr. William T. Long for planning and hosting a successful end-of-year fundraiser for Operation Walk Los Angeles, which raised over $119,000 that will be specifically allocated to our mission trip to Cuba in March of 2022. This event would not have been possible without the collaboration and hands- on work of a team of volunteers, many of whom were part of the Long family, and many others long-time Operation Walk supporters.
