During our mission to CIMEQ we screened 100 patients to see if they were eligible both orthopedically and medically for surgery. 50 patients passed the screening test and received joint replacement surgery.
Emiliano has been unable to walk unassisted for two years and more recently unable to stand. After a bilateral knee replacement he said he was feeling like a million and ready to go dancing.
Student volunteers are an important part of our legacy of teaching and continuing to serve others in need. Many of them go on to have careers in the medical field.
Respirar Profundo- recovery isn't always easy. We work with patients to learn exercises, wound care, and the proper techniques to recover safely and completely.
